Hi Narniatonto,
Thanks for your message.
If you need to change the title type on a project, you'll need to do so via the title's page; simply submit a title correction, and edit the format of the title to change the type.
Made for TV movies are formatted as: Title (year) (TV)
Television series are formatted as: "Title" (year)
Straight to video/DVD titles are formatted as: Title (year) (V)
For more information about how titles are formatted, please see: [faq]titleformat and
http://pro.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?titletypesPlease note that we list titles types that correspond to the first release, regardless of how a title was released later. If a title was released first on DVD and then aired on television as a special, it will need to remain as a (V) release, and not (TV), since it first was released as a DVD.
Double check that if we list a release date, that it's correct, and has the correct attribute. If not, submit a correction to the release date, or add the release date if we don't have one yet. Make sure that you include an attribute for the release date (ie, if it's a festival screening, give the festival name, if it was a DVD release, put that; if it aired on television, put the channel).
Then, to change the title type, submit a 'Title Correction' via the main update page for your title. Click on the 'edit' button at the bottom of the title and then select the 'Title Corrections' choice (it's the first one in the 'other corrections section' at the bottom of the page).
Format the title as desired, enter an explanation as to why you're changing the type. This ensures that your comments are delivered directly to appropriate person, i.e. the editor in charge of title corrections, and gives them the background information needed.
Best of luck, and thank you for your help in keeping IMDb.com as comprehensive and accurate as possible.
Regards,
Will
