Filmography sorting algorithm needs an update

I was reading the Filmography for Yvonne deCarlo and saw that her listing with The Munsters is posted away up in 1987, only because a single discovered and previously unseen pilot had, apparently, been shown in 1987. The listing of her time in the show should be down in 1964-1966 where it belongs. I question the method of sorting the Filmography into most recent date. I have seen this problem in other listings. Sorting should have a weighted average applied so that the bulk of the appearances in a particular date range count more than one appearance at a vastly different date. It is confusing to expect to see a particular credit listed at a particular period and not see it there, then have to look up a decade or two to find it. The whole database is made a bit inaccurate because of a lack of intelligent sorting. There must be a couple of computer science majors in the intern pool who could work with the web administrator to make Filmography sorting into a more intelligent and accurate database.

The following doesn't address your issue (and does not involve any "weighted" sorting such as you suggested), but I thought I'd point this out anyway:

This search will list TV series with Yvonne De Carlo, sorted by initial release year.
Here you'll find The Munsters  listed at its proper sorting position for 1964:
http://www.imdb.com/filmosearch?explore=title_type&mode=simple&sort=year,desc&title_type...

Below is a similar search link for Joan Marshall. Her only appearance on The Munsters  was in the unaired pitch pilot, which was released in 2007. That "2007" credit is listed on the Joan Marshall name page. But this search will list The Munsters  at its proper sorting position for 1964:
http://www.imdb.com/filmosearch?explore=title_type&mode=simple&sort=year,desc&title_type...
