Find my comments in lists

Hello everyone,

how is it possible to see comments i have written in lists at IMDb?

Or how can i find my own comments in lists?

Would be so nice if someone could help me.

The comments are on the lists. You do need to be in detail view to see them (the middle of the 3 layout buttons on the top right of your list).

Thats what i know.

But i am searching for my comments, because i can't find them. They are somewhere in someones list.

Do you mean the comments you've added to the end of the lists?

This was done through IMDB's system but they were scrubbed when the introduced the FB plugin. So if you want to find comments you made through the FB plugin then you'd need to look within Facebook (I don't use it, so can't tell you specifically where you'd find them).

Yes exactly, the comments at the end of a list.

There is no comment i made in IMDb at FB, that's not the point.

And how can i add a comment at the end of a list without FB? Or does it mean, that you are not using comments, or not FB?

The FB plugin allows other logins, like Hotmail, but not IMDB which is a pain. However, people can switch comments off if they don't want them and/or they don't have FB (I switch them off and direct people to a thread on the forum).

There is no comment i made in IMDb at FB, that's not the point.


So what is the point?

I have written comments in someones list and i want to find them. Not directly the comments, but the list. If i will find the comments, i have found the list, becuase i don't know which list it exactly is.

Is there no where on FB that keeps a track of your comments? The problem is that using the FB plugin means this is now a Facebook issue, not something to do with IMDB.

It is not. So i can't understand why you are not using comments to lists. Because nobody can see in FB what you are writing. The only thing you have to do is to create a fake account in Fk.

Anyway, this messaging system that was offered by IMDb in cooperation with Fk, is the most horrible solution i have ever met on the web!

I have no interest in signing up to FB and don't see why I should just to comment on my own list on a completely unrelated site to FB.

So maybe it has to do something with Fk. When you dont use it, so maybe you dont know it.

Or maybe i can not find the link in the IMDb userpanel to view all comments i have done. Every other social messaging system has this ability, so IMDb must have it, too.

Hope there was an answer. Would be so nice!

There won't be a link in the IMDB userpanel, because it has all been outsourced to Facebook, so the comments are over there somewhere even if they might not be centrally available (but I'd assume they are somewhere, but they might be mixed in with other FB activity). It is a probably a question to ask the nice people at FB.

They are not existant in Fk. Besides that, IMDb offers the possibility t decide if your posted comment has to appear as message in Fk or not. What if you have disabled this inside IMDb, how will you find that?

In that case, Fk has no information about that. IMDB does not know, where you have written your comment... That is a bad joke.

That makes writing really senseless, typing for happy hunting ground. *shaking the head*

None of this has anything to do with IMDB, it all takes place in the Facebook plugin, which is really a little island of FB within an IMDB page. If you select a setting in the FB comments plugin not to share these comments on FB then you won't be able to find them, as this is all taking place in FB.

But thats not really the point, i want to search for the comments i have done. So i can find the topics.

Or a search to find topics i have participated with. In that case i can find my comments, too.

Or some other way, to find his own comments.
