Our film is now "completed" and we updated the development status accordingly. Today is September 5th in North America. The status was updated from Texas and the film's page shows the film is completed on September 6th. 190906-001119-690000
How can we fix this, and change it to today's date? Thanks for any help!

The date "when the status was entered" is 5 September. Just over an hour ago (TODAY). Yet, the date reflected on the page is 6 September -- TOMORROW. It's not the 6th yet.

When will my update be added?
The information in IMDb is not updated in real time. Depending on the data type, approved contributions may appear on IMDb within one and seven days. Contributions are not processed strictly in the order they are received; we optimize processing for overall efficiency and accuracy. This means even items within the same submission for the same data section may go live at different times. Generally, all approved data should be live within a few days.

@ Ed: the date took effect nearly 3 hours ago.
@ GMJ: Please stop submitting answers that are completely irrelevant. The completion status was submitted a few hours ago (today), on the 5th of September. The change went live about 15 minutes later, today. My issue is NOT regarding how long it will take to reflect/process my submission. We're past that. On the contrary, it marked a permanent status change with tomorrow's date. Right now, it is 9:54PM on Thursday, 5 September, in Texas.

As you can see from my reply above, IMDb uses a UTC clock for all submission timestamps.
It does not use, nor adjust for the global time zones.
Your contribution was made on 190906-001119-690000
That's 190906 or 09-06-19 at, and if my memory is correct, 001119, which is 11 minutes and 19 seconds into the day. The last 6 #'s are fractions of a second 690000.
That is how staff can locate your submission and know precisely when they received it. Approvals can be instantaneous (Automated) or as GMJ described a specific time period. Apologies for his reply, as he is giving a canned reply. He rarely actually engages with actual diatribe. I just help here as a contributor and I am currently dipping my toes in the water of La La Land trying to establish myself here! Ex Coloradan! Hopefully staff will be able to help.
The only people that can alter a date are IMDB employees.
Please wait for a reply. It will probably be 12-24 hours.
Good Luck
Ed

Hello Ed. Our film is complete and I haven't forgotten your request for screening. The link can't be public, due to our festival campaign, but we're allowing private screenings for friends of the production. If you're still interested, you may email the production to receive a screening link: RendezvousFilm2019@gmail.com . Thanks again for your help!

Hi Seth -
Just to clarify, as GMJ mentioned above, the dates listed next to the Production Status are not the actual date that the a title changed status, but rather is the date when the status was added to the site. Even though your submission was made on September 5th, it was not processed and added to the site until September 6th, which is why the 6th is displayed.
Currently, these dates are hardcoded, as they are listed automatically they cannot be changed.
