There are a few SciFi-movies made in the 80's that were popular at their
release. Some of them were reasonably unlogic or even trashy, but even
today they got some fans. Which of them below would you like to buy,
rent or stream for an retro-evening the most?

I like the list, though not everyone will agree that all of the films are "forgotten", especially the Cronenberg and Cameron films.

In the title, I think it should be "Won't Admit to Loving". And no period at the end, please.

"Unlogic" should probably be "illogical".

Thank you, Peter and urbanemovies. :D

These are some nice examples. I'll do some changes. But have to work one more day before weekend, so i've limited time to do all, i wanna do. I wish i could retire and have more time for movies and polls. Please wait a while, i keep your both suggestions in mind and maybe do that at the weekend. :)

P.S.: I want to avoid to make the list too long. Some movies like the Cronnenberg's or Cameron's are ok for me to delete. But i also want to make the Poll a little more international. I as a german guess, there will be some movies on the list above, that didn't reach many people in Europe. I want to take movies on the Poll, that many people in all the world saw and will remember. Something like "Bad Taste" is/was banned in some countries and i think it's to little Scifi for a Scifi-list. Something like "Swamp Thing" or "Night of The Comet" i would put on the list. By the way, i just rememberd "Starman". :)

:D

Well, let's see. :D

Hello, urbanemovies. :D

I've put some of your suggestions to the list. i just removed 2 of the Cronenbergs, because i overthinked it. "Videodrome" wasn't so popular and i think many people will remeber it - coming back to their mind. I decided to let "The Abyss" stay in the list, because it was one of the movies of Cameron, which wasn't so popular. But i'm not really sure about "The Abyss". I want to read some other other opinions and hope that some other users will participate in that discussion. ;)

Greets. :)

Hi, leavy-2. I just have "The Abyss" on the list, but i think of deleting it for better options. You can read in the discussion above. :D

I think the Abyss should stay. It's one of Cameron's least known films.

I think the title would make more sense and not be so wordy if you just said "Forgotten '80s Sci-Fi Guilty Pleasures".

Even if you don't change the whole title, please see the proper way to denote the 1980s - '80s.

I have fond childhood memories of Enemy Mine, though I haven't seen it in ages. I don't actually think I've seen any of the others on here—I better get on that!

Thank you, Jen. :)

I think, i will put "Ice Pirates" on the list. I've never seen "Dead Ringers". Is "Dead Ringers" the movie with Jeremy Irons on IMDb database? Can you explain, why you want to see the movie on the list? I don't know, because i've never seen it. It should be real SciFi. That's nessesary for the list.

Breumaster,

As Peter suggested, I think you can change Won't Admit to Love to Won't Admit to Loving (and please remove the period).

Also, may I suggest some edits to your question?
Which of the films below would you like to buy, rent or stream for a retro-evening?

Hi. :)
Which period? ... Anyway, yes, i want you to make some suggestions. :D
I just changed an to a and Won't admit to love into Won't admit to loving. Sorry, the last thing sounded wrong for my ears, but I'm sure not perfect. ;)

The period after Loving.

So without the period, the title should look like this:

"Love" or "loving" may both work, I just thought it looked wrong.

Ok, i think i understood. period is another word for dot. So I corrected it, thank you.
Thank you specially for the example. That's way more easy to learn tis way. :D

That's my trouble. I'm about to learn important points in english language that school never touched. But it's fun to learn this way. ;) So in future I always try to become more precise in the use of grammatical rules.

Breumaster,

May I suggest a minor grammar change?

Please change "illogic" to "Illogical":
Some of them were reasonably illogic or even trashy, but even today they got some fans.

To:
Some of them were reasonably illogical or even trashy, but even today they got some fans.

Note: I placed the word in bold underlined type to make it easier to see.

Hello, LD.

It sure is pretty entertaining. But I did'nt put it on the list because it's so less SciFi. It's more horror than SciFi. But maybee we could work on another list. ;)
