Dear IMDb, we are a production company in the Dominican Republic (www.caribemotion.com) and learned that a person placed (intentional fraud) several productions on her IMDb bio (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1560227/). The Dominican Film Commission as well as the Dominican Association of Film and TV professionals have also been notified. My question is how to proceed to ask for elimination of that fraudulent listing at IMDb. Thank you for your cooperation (jurgen@caribemotion.com).

Staff might be able to provide better advice but the best thing you can do is remove the offending credits, using screenshots of the relevant area of the credits to support the submissions.

The whole things looks odd and needs looking into, like the 4 stunt credits:

Yeah they don't have a stunt credit in The Crow:

Most of the listings are false. Besides the 4 listings of productions we and a colleague made, there was never an Amazing Race in the Dominican Republic. It goes on and on... Thanks for your comment, really appreciated

Well thanks for flagging it up - IMDB relies on people spotting any problems and working to correct them. However, it is clearly going to take a while to unpick all this, as it might be they've displaced other people from their credits or created completely fake ones. I assume your 4 productions just contain completely fake ones? Can you tell us which ones they are?

Staff will, presumably, have to go through the credits and check what supporting evidence there is for these, but anything that can be done to speed things up is appreciated.

With that in mind, there is also no such credits for Radioland Murders:
http://i41.tinypic.com/2ufgdx1.jpg

That (and The Crow credit) mean I don't think we can trust either uncredited stunt roles either.

We produced with Bunim-Murray Productions both "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" series for E! Entertainment and the "Man vs. Wild" program together with Diverse Bristol Productions, UK for Discovery Channel.
The program "Anthony Bourdain:No Reservations" was produced by our colleague Mr. Ivan Herrera.

No worries.

What do we do about the stunt credits? I can submit requests to remove the two credited ones, but what about the uncredited roles? I am sceptical about them, but surely they'd have had to have submitted evidence for them to be accepted? It does seem like it needs a member of staff to go through the submissions made for this person and find out what was used to support the claims.

Thank you so much. We are working on our end trying to contact directors etc. to confirm the listings. After all we know that 90% is fake. The person is the industry's nightmare in the country running an illegal operation. Many foreign production companies had to face fraud, extortion etc. We decided to combat these disgusting practices wherever we can in order to save the emerging industry.

Just checked "Like Dandelion Dust". Tracy Cuesta places herself as "supervising producer". Actually the cast never came to the Dominican Republic. Tracy Cuesta organized transport for a small B-roll unit. It's amazing how some people try to cheat potential clients.

Thanks for your help and support, Emperor. We will definitely continue investigating and try to correct the bio of Tracey Cuesta, which as far as we can see, shouldn't be on IMDb at all. People who intentionally lie in order to get recognition should be banned for good.

Just got another one. The "Poker Girls" series (for web, not TV) was never made in the Dominican Republic. Here is what the Director Jewelle Colwell answered:

No, Tracey Cuesta was not executive producer on Poker Girls.
We had been in conversation, but the plans never materialized.

Jewelle Colwell,

Thank you for your continued patience in resolve this problem.

As an active user of the IMDb, I find it distressing to come across information that is obviously fraudulent or in error, but do not have the evidence to correct the problem.

Please keep up your great work in helping to resolve this problem. IMDb depends upon knowledgeable people such as you to ensure the accuracy of the database.

Hello all,

My assistant has made me aware of the slanderous tactics being used by Mr. Hoppe ONCE AGAIN against us and it’s just sad actually.
My attorney has suggested that I not even respond to Mr. Hoppe’s invidious accusations seeing as we have ongoing Criminal Prosecution stemming from fraud committed against us during a PVH-IZOD shoot in Cap Cana in November of this past year where we had prepared everything and then he was brought in and created situations and helping them escape the country with more than U$500k in unpaid bills that we are now subsequently responsible for since they were supposedly promised that “he would take care of”. Due to these SAME type of antics more than U$300k is still owed to us by other clients who refused to pay since the National Film Commission would not allow them to import their equipment temporarily and violated the DR CAFTA agreement in doing so as they wanted to work with us and no one who was “registered” with them as they weren’t into having ignorant unskilled technicians on their project. But he seems he just will not stop. Actually I don't even run my IMDB Page as I am too busy producing, developing, writing, funding, branding etc etc, but very happy to see that Mr. Hoppe is able to spend his time checking me out and keeping such close tabs :-) It's very sad to see a disgruntled German who I have actually RECOMMENDED work for when I can't do (or don’t want to any longer) the gig (MTV, E!, or on a Slavery Coverup piece paid for by the Slave Owners ☺ etc) attack me in this way when we have never even crossed paths and if he showed up at the Marina on my yacht I wouldn’t know him. The worst thing in our business are fake credits and even though no one hires from IMDB it sucks when it happens. Nice to know that the DR actually thinks that people win or lose jobs by what a resume says and have no idea how the real world works, but that’s what’s great about innocence in this industry when you are still green. You may be 60 years old but green. Our 6 degrees of separation is too tight in our business to need to try and claim anything else and if anything the DR should be KISSING MY ASS for all the promotion and quality work I have brought in the past years of my existence starting with me forming the FIRST DR Film Commission – (Google Variety in 2004) and I’ve actually got the named legally registered) - and then with LoveWrecked and Alicia Keys the same year with bigger and better stuff each year some just being consultant or working totally under the radar but there hasn’t been ONE worthwhile project in this country that I haven’t had something to do with. If it was just “selling” the idea and the feasibility of the DR or actually running the Day to Day – NOT ONE. If you really are someone in this day and time what we do is go online check things out and then jump on the phone to REALLY check them out. But since he CAN'T jump on the phone to anyone who’s really anyone, then he rants online hoping to be heard - or to local idiots who don't know the difference from an LOI to an IOU or to people who are offended by his “investigations” but are kind decent people and just give him an answer to make him disappear. :-) He is totally correct about one thing, we ARE NOT registered to do business in the DR because we DO DONT do business with DR Companies such as his as they are all quite a lovely piece of work and he is just a nice tip of the iceberg of what we have to deal with if you do. This isn’t against the law by any means its just against what they WANT you to do and so if you don’t listen they don’t play nice and they try to destroy you. Been happening for 10 years now and we are still living breathing and bigger and better than ever ☺ Adversity just makes you stronger and better!! We also are SUPER OUTSPOKEN with the international media and TOTALLY against the new tax incentive claims who only screw over the REAL filmmakers who want/need to shoot here and aren't helping them. Ex. - 25% "transferrable” tax credit that can only be sold on the local market for around 5 or 15% -if you can find someone - yet complies you to be responsible for payment of 18% VAT and 28% hotel tax on things only possible to purchase from big money business instead of informal street vendors trying to keep alive their family feeding them and putting a roof over their head which goes COMPLETELY against our social being and we REFUSE to take away from the poor and give to the rich. Simple. Anyone who has ever had a grade school math class can see THAT doesn't add up not mathematically, or much less socially in a third world country where our kids still don’t have roofs at their schools and sit on cinderblocks. And so since we don't want to screw and scam our international partners and cost them 30% MORE on their already tight budgets to get them 25% BACK :-) we are NOT registered to OFFER that BS to them - NOR WILL WE EVER BE. We do NOT shoot in public places except where I am Film Commissioner for the Mayor's Offices :-) and so we ALSO do not NEED a National Permit to shoot on PRIVATE property such as for a house show. Also happy to see that he has such a hard on for me that he wrote to Jewelle. Nope, they never DID come to the DR but we are still hoping that they will one day we all are and so sorry to see that he's not informed of the TV Distribution plans offered for their great show or its awards. They actually had listed me a year or so ago when we were working to bring the ENTIRE season here to shoot with new storylines etc and guess it just stayed up there. I was the EP and listed in all of their Producer's Packages sent out to our local investors as such as I would have financed or found the financing for, their entire production had they been able to work it out but Paradise Hotel and PVH still owe me more than $1 million USD $500 of that thanks to Mr. Hoppe and his insanity, who was paid by the way, ironic no that he makes money from me but he tries to bash me? :-) And as for Dandelion Dust, not sure whom he spoke with there but Producers/Director agreed to give me credit in lieu of cash as we had worked together 2 years, we did casting, voice casting, locations and everything else a Supervising Producer would do on the project that once everything was put together was forced to stay mainly in Florida due to union uprising and then come in later for reshoots as the stock footage just didn't match what they wanted since what they wanted had been found here. Guess they were decent guys doing stuff decently to "award" me with that since that was my original title had it all worked out as originally planned. But that's just who I am and how I work. Those who love me love me lots and those like MR. Hoppe who seem to have dreams of one day tying my shoestrings or serving me coffee (should I allow it - he'd probably spike it with arsenic and tie my shoes together) :-) just simply DON'T. But I guess I'd better think twice next time I send him work (like Nat Geo and crap I just don't get that he's great at :-) ) and like the Kardashian's since I was shooting something else at Casa de Campo under 6 month contract and working to get Poker Girls up and running here and even though they reached out I just couldn't split myself so I sent them to him thinking at least he could do a better job than a local Real Estate agent oops sorry "Dominican Producer" they wanted to use :-) You know, had my family and friends and Court Officials and the Sherriff not lived his Hitleresque antics with PVH-IZOD in Cap Cana in November I never would have believed what I'm reading now from him. What does one gain to try and knock someone else down to TRY and take their space? You either know your job and your limitations or you don’t. Just because you kill the President doesn’t mean they will name you tomorrow. It doesn’t even make sense. Shouldn't one be more concerned with building THEMSELVES up and being the best that WE can be? If I get RID of the competition that’s no FUN!!! I LOVE "competition" its keeps me on my toes!! I can never stop learning! ☺ But if he's trying so hard to knock me down it must mean that I'm the one on top!! And to be quite honest, I didn't even KNOW there WAS a Dominican Film and TV Association so good for them they seem to be progressing!!! It only took them 6 years to come back with a Film Commission after I shut its doors and went back to producing. ☺ So, Mr. Hoppe, I wish you well. I am not sure why you have this thing for me, but there are all types out there. Good luck with the clients you might score for having to trash me and not being able to stand alone on your merits to get a job or I guess its frustrating to always have to step in after I've got everything worked out and just stand by while it happens by why are you mad if you’re getting paid??? Its happened more than once to you when I couldn't go on maybe you just don't know it. And to help you understand a bit about how we True Professionals work, IMDB is a tool for us, but its definitely not the Bible and clients who would listen to this smearfest and THEN hire you aren't people we'd welcome anyway and would probably tell them to call you - but we always just tell them to NOT mention my name or that he won't help them as I am COMPLETELY CONSIOUS that I am the most hated person in the entire country after hiring and firing just about every single person who claims to know anything about this business. Funny actually, Ivan Herrera was even a PA for me once until I fired him, interesting to see him "Producing" anything except maybe a kid with his girlfriend. But there we go again with the loose terms used here as what a "producer" really does!! A "fixer" maybe, a PRODUCER on a REAL show, yeah right. A Dominican Producer could MAYBE sharpen pencils on a real set and I’m sick and tired of trying to change that with a bunch of empty headed egotistical jackasses who have NO earthly idea what the word “teamwork” means and are out infighting to get theirs and if you don’t eat than f you – they let you starve. So don’t blame me – it’s just if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em and that’s what you all have FORCED me to do. And I'm Dominican and it makes me SICK and SAD after spending my WHOLE career dreaming to come back to the DR and "help" my people to only have a German lead the pack to spit in my face. My standards are just set WAAAAAAYYY above the "emerging industry" that Mr. Hoppe and the DR offer, so they hate me instead of trying to understand me. :-) Does it suck? Sure because I’m human ☺ But who in this shark infested business isn't used to it? It just comes down to whether I owe THEM or my clients? And that's not even a question. I owe my CLIENTS and the only time I have had PROBLEMS with my clients in the past is because of this same type of foolishness and them THINKING they know this business and TRYING to know this business and putting MY ASS on the line to help them come up and get some real experience - so I just don't hire ANYONE ANYMORE and they hate me. But it is what it is. I owe my clients ME and quality that is EQUAL to me for their projects - nothing less. I got sick and tired of having my colleagues question my judgement on using people here when I "used to be" so "professional" back in the day with top notch non drama crews. SO I STOPPED.

So, Blessings to you and yours Mr. Hoppe. I hope you someday find your way without having to try and push others out of it, but if you erased every single credit on IMDB today I would still be working bigger and better tomorrow. Nice try though, but I know who I am and most importantly my colleagues, my mentors and my clients all know.

And @Empereor, I began my career as a Stunt Player working with Leon Delaney and Vic Armstrong. I actually was willing to do ANYTHING to just get in the door and was even Leon's BABYSITTER when I was 17. :-) After working with Vic at LucasFilm he also hired me for other jobs. I also doubled for Tori Spelling in her 90210 days and Lisa Hartmann Black. They aren't all listed and if I listed my work at Death Row Records when I took a break from the film industry I'm sure you'd freak out as well :-) But its all good. Hey, they only time you know you're not important is when they STOP talking about you!!! :-)

But I can say ONE great thing: it's so great to see that IMDB is such a big thing here and so very important in their "emerging industry" that some nut is willing to try and make an international incident out of Credit’s listed on it!! LOL!!!

xo

If any legitimate credits have been removed, then feel free to add them back in, providing evidence from screenshots of the relevant credits.

The problem is the stunt credits you have on IMDB aren't in the credits for the films.

Dear IMDb user, we fee sorry that Tracey Cuesta abuses this forum for whatever reasons. We caught her by intentionally listing our productions in her bio as supervising producer. That has been proven and checked by IMDb. The fraudulent listings have been removed by IMDb.

Dear IMDb, now have an insight view how people abuse of IMDb. First one has to find out that somebody makes fraudulent listings, then one gets the recommendation to solicit the removal, than one gets accused of placing these titles in the first place in a bio of a person, one never met. On top of everything IMDb is accused of permitting Cyber Stalking.
I don't want to respond to that stupid long email filled with defamatory, wrong accusations (e.g. a law suit between this person and Phillips van Heusen, of which I don't have any knowledge or the so-called recommendations to MTV and E!Entertainment. I don't know one single person who works there), since this forum
is definitely not the place for that.
I think your legal department should step in immediately.

That's what I am saying. What would you do if somebody just steels your credits and accuses you of placing them in their bio after getting caught? It can't get more ridiculous and absurd, you are absolutely right. It could be a bad reality show.

Just so there is NO confusion, I personally deleted my comments and responses. This person is obviously sadly greatly disturbed and I must apologize for even attempting to engage in conversation with someone so desperate for my attention and unable to manage the english language.

Well Mr. Hoppe, after all these years of me ignoring your attacks, you finally got me to respond, hope it was as exciting as you had "Hopped" :-) :-) LOL!!!!!

Once in a while you meet some pathological liars, but when it combines with stupidity it becomes almost amusing. Everybody who read these stupid comments should have noticed by now what kind of people the industry is up against. Please Ann, moderator from IMDb, it would be helpful if you let people know what you found on her bio when I asked you to remove and that you actually removed the listings..
Actually I never met this person, don't know her at all and of course, she doesn't know me. It's really weird. But after all, I think by the way she uses low-life language, inventing personal attacks, it's too obvious, that we found a thief here on IMDb who just can't take it to get caught.

Dear IMDb. I posted a problem about fraudulent listings at: https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topi...
Tracey Cuesta claimed several of our productions. IMDb swiftly removed these listings. Of course that person reacted very angry accusing me to have placed these listings and accused IMDb of allowing Cyber Stalking. I was also personally attacked of things I never imagined somebody could imagine. Since these false accusations to me and other members of the film industry most likely will be scanned and published on the web by search engines (which is of nobody's interest), I ask you to remove these personnel attacks and put me in contact with your legal department. I just want to make sure that these comments will be archived for further investigation. You may contact me at jurgen@caribemotion.com or 809 5432186. Thank you very much
