If IMDb wants people to use it as a resource...
Copying the 'Full Cast' list now produces duplicates.
Do this: Highlight any Full Cast list, copy, and paste into NotePad (or any other text editor). I've done this daily for a long time, and now when I do it the Actors name ends up being copied in twice and the Character is bumped down a line. Cleaning up this list has always been a bit of a chore but now ...
Question: Can this be changed back to act as it has always been?

Until they fix copying from 'Full Cast', you can do it from the 'combined' view (as in: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt???????/c...). From that view you get a manageable list with the names listed only once.

This is not a bug -- I suspect that the duplication occurs because when you cut/paste the cast, you are also selecting the thumbnails next to each cast member. The images have an alt text entry with the name of the person they refer to (i.e. when you hover the mouse pointer over the image, your browser displays their name superimposed to the image).

When you copy the portion of the page and paste it into an editor that supports images, you would get the images and the names next to them; but when you paste the same content into an editor that doesn't display images, you get the alt text instead. This is the correct behavior.

You might be able to suppress the alt text display in your browser by changing settings or installing an extension (Chrome and Firefox have extensions/add-ons for this; I think Opera also has a setting for this). this might prevent the alt-text data from being copied into the clipboard as well.
