Just wanted to let you know I've posted all of these to the board but they didn't come up. Thinking they will come up in a few hours.

I've changed your post to the problem type, I hope you don't mind. I hope IMDb will look into this.

''Sorry! You don't have access to the content you requested. If you think you should have access, please contact the administrator of the community.''

This is the error message that I'm getting.

Get Satisfaction has not been very responsive, but hopefully IMDb can find out for sure why this is happening. It is possible that it is related to posting frequency or posts with similar content (as poll suggestions will naturally have).

There is a spam filter in the admin management tool, but I haven't seen any of these blocked threads there.

Another one stuck. Apparently it's dangerous to post new threads between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm UTC. They're first held hostage for 6 to 8 hours before they are released.

The frustrating part is that when it finally appears after approx. 6 hours, it's immediately on page 3 or so of this board and most board members will never notice it unless you bump it back to page 1.

And again. I've noticed no staffers have posted on this...I wonder if they've even noticed it.

If you go to the management console, you should be able to see any spam posts (click the red stop sign on the left which appears when any are pending) and you should be able to approve them.  I think you have the power to do this but I am not 100% sure.

I have looked at that sometimes, but I think I have only been shown replies that were marked as spam, not new threads.

Peter, can you share how to get to the management console?

It's not something everyone can access. It's associated with the 'Champ' status.

We are aware of the issue.  It happens because Get Satisfaction are still tuning their spam filtering.  When a new post disappears like this, it means that GS have (falsely) detected the post as spam so it will not appear until an employee or champion looks at the post and manually clicks to indicate otherwise.

The best way to avoid this is to not post multiple new messages within a short space of time.  If you make one suggestion at once and then perhaps look at other threads and then return to post the next one, it should avoid triggering the spam filters.  We realize that this is not ideal and hopefully the system will get better.

Well, it just happened to me for the first time, very displeasing.

To avoid duplicates, maybe don't post the same thing twice? If it's a spam filter, posting the same thing multiple times probably doesn't help.

The same thing happened to me on friday when I suggested a Kong's Damsels poll, I assumed it was not posted for some reason, and today I logged in to find out it was actually posted, and now it is in the board twice, because I made two attempts to post it.

It is very annoying, it may hurt the chances of your suggestion getting noticed, specially if you plan it for a particular date.

Also, it had never happened to me until this week, this fact, and this discussion showing it is a generalized problem makes it worst.

This never happened at the already missed IMDb Boards.

Maybe this should already be marked as solved? I don't think the problem is still happening

The problem may still occur occasionally. For instance:

It just happened to me. I have made probably 4 attempts to post the new thread, and it didn't show up. Will it posted 4x when it appears? Or will it not appear of I don't do anything? If so what should I do? What I tried to post is a new discussion thread of my old poll I want to repush.

Edit: It appears some,

It's probably best to only try to post each topic once as they usually appear after some time. However, duplicate posts can be removed later.
