Many films are tagged with too many genres. It makes any genre search meaningless, e.g. "comedy", if almost every film is listed anyway. Good example is this film: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060464/

Genre is listed as "Action | Adventure | Comedy | Drama | Sci-Fi"

Thanks but this isn't a problem specific to one entry. There are probably 1,000s or 10,000s of examples of this kind of "genre spamming". It needs to be fixed at the system level, e.g. limit of 2 genres per film, crowd-source correct genre from viewers leaving rating, etc.

Hi John -

I reviewed the title you listed as an example and have removed the incorrect "Comedy" Genre from the title page; as Ed mentioned above, anytime you observe an incorrect genre listed on a title, the best thing to do is report it for removal through our online Update form and our editors can take a look.

Concerning your feedback, due to the volume of genre submissions we receive every day,  incorrect genres can unfortunately slip through, likewise, genres can be objective whereas others a little leeway is given.  Ideally, we try to stick to our genre definitions and review the context of the film, as the genre should relate to the main driving force behind the story arc.
