Geo-specifc translated title not skippable anymore

This annoying feature has been around for a while. You are shown by default the local translation of the movie in your region upon opening the page on IMDB. Up until now, this was easilly circumvented by going to site preferences and changing the default language to English. This is not working anymore. IMDB apprently changed something that locks you based on your IP address and ignores your preferences. Whenever I try to change the preferences it holds just for a little while, before reverting to the translated title again upon refreshing the page. I suspect soon it will not work at all.

It's especially annoying in my case because my region language is Hebrew, a non-latin language, so all the translated titles appear in a deformed mess that is the transliteration of the Hebrew words into English. It's simply awful.

Is there any other way to prevent this?

Thanks.

Sorry for the inconvenience.  This is a known issue and it is tricky to provide the best experience due to the way we store some of the information about original titles and local titles.

Until we have a full solution, our recommendation is to go to your site settings at https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general and on the menu "Title display country" please choose "Original" which is the first item on the menu.  This will block the localization of titles which should improve things, even though there will still be some issues.

Thanks Col, that is a nice solution when I am on my personal computer but not much help when I am on a computer where I can't sign in.
I hope you find a more satisfactory solution soon.
