Getting IMDB to remove racist username when reporting is full.

I need to know how to get IMDB to ban a username that's racist, it's been on for 3 days now posting and the report user button says they have enough report on this user and will deal with it, but it's been 3 days and that very offensive username is still posting racist stuff.

They've clearly got the message, perhaps if you have the profile link (as disagreeable as it is) the staff can look into it.

Ok this is the link to the profile page.

His posting history has been removed however it's the name that is the problem, he keeps changing it but it;'s always about Negroes and Negroids not being allowed or being this or that.

Ah yes, I reported their spamming racist posts across the forums a few days ago.

The problems are that the usual sanctions are to remove posts and boost the time they need to wait between posts. Which doesn't address the username situation. That would need them to close and lock the username or to delete the account completely, which they tend not to do. So it might take a while to sort this one out and hopefully posting this here will move that process along. The only good thing is that having their posts deleted means you currently only see their profile name if you go to their profile. Not a fix, but a lessening of offence and the username means they might as well wave a big troll flag when they start posting again, so the posts get removed again, etc.

I would be careful of reporting one user multiple times. It could get your account on the system's ignore list.

But, you might report it as "none of the above";which let's you describe the issue. At least one Rep will change the user's ID...which is funny when it happens, or they might just get rid of the whole thing. It's better than reporting as "racism" which the system treats as a violation in one post.

I've only reported the username twice, I tried twice more.

Next time I will do none of the above and explain the problem... thanks for the suggestion.
