Hi all,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I tried to test this on my Firefox and Edge browsers using a Windows device by clicking a few links and making a rating, but I was not taken back to the login screen.

Could you please write back with the following so we can attempt to reproduce and resolve the issue?

- the device and OS version you are using
- the browser and update version you are using
- a description of specific actions you took (aside from rating a film) that cause you to be taken back to the log in screen; a URL to the page you arrive on would also be helpful

Additionally, it would be helpful to know if you are being prompted to log in every time you take a certain action(s), or if logging in will prevent the prompt for a period of time.

Thanks in advance!
- Steve

Using Google Chrome on Windows 10. As far as I can tell I have the most updated version (so 66.0.3359.170 but not 100% sure). On my Laptop

I am signed in. I can access my watch list normally (so it registers that I'm signed in). It seems that if I use Advanced search and try to rate a show it takes me to the sign in options. However I have found that adding a score at other times (in my watch list or directly on the page of the film I want to rate) it works completely normally. Also I went to Top 250 films (list) and I was able to rate as normal. It seems on my end the problem only occurs when I do an advanced search and then try to add a rating.

Specific URL example of when it doesnt work
https://www.imdb.com/search/title?title_type=feature click on rate me takes me to https://www.imdb.com/registration/signin?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.imdb.com%2Fsearch%2Ftitle%3Ftitle_type%...

Kind Regards
Oliver

Thanks for the detail Oliver. I was able to reproduce with the clear steps you've provided and have filed a ticket to the appropriate team.

Hi all,

We believe our engineers found the cause yesterdaymorning, and have since implemented a solution. The solution requires that youlog out of IMDb, and then log back in to your account. If it does not fix theissue, please post again to let us know. Thank you.
