IMDb not appearing in Google search.

For years when I would type my name into Google, my IMDb page would be listed second only to facebook. However over the last several weeks, my IMDb page doesn't even come up when I search, but rather only links to my photo or bio sections. I tested it on some friends who also have IMDb pages, and I had the same results. If you type in Brad Pitt, Google has his IMDb page listed. Anyone know why this happens? It may not really matter, just bugs me that my IMDb homepage doesn't come up, even when I type my name then "IMDb". Thoughts?

I just did a Google search on Ryan-Iver Klann. and while your base page was not shown on the first page, your IMDb Biography, News and Publicity pages are in positions 5, 6 and 7.

IMDb has no control over Google, and what pages they choose to show is their decision and theirs alone.

Actually, I mis-spoke a bit. IMDb does block search bots access to a lot of its pages -- all of Pro, and all the boards, for example -- using a robots.txt file. It seems that this also links to a set of files that shows when each page was updated (probably since IMDb's pages are dynamic which means they show as having been updated when they are accessed).

However, the intent of my post was correct, and Google does decide where in their results to place the captured pages.

maybe there is an issue that google bots were unable to crawl the pages properly ?
because basically google does not do this at preference or single pick pages its mostly based on site maps and it displays what it crawls. 

or could it be when the page is being updated the bots miss the page ?

hello, 
for some while now the title page was appearing just fine on google search results 
and all of a sudden was removed or stopped showing 

so is this problem from imdb ? or is it from google?

GOOGLE SEARCH NOT SHOWING MY IMDB PAGE.

It has appeared at number #1 for the last 3 years and within the last 3-4 days it has literally disappeared. Several actor friends of mine have also had this happen to THEIR pages. I ran a test by searching a few big names - Scorsese, Lumet, Hitchcock, Spielberg - and even THEIR pages weren't appearing with links directly to their IMDB home page. However, after a few hours, the links ARE appearing...but we're still left in the dark.

Is this IMDB's problem or a Google Search problem that they need to rectify?

ACTION NEEDS TO BE TAKEN AS THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

I am having the same problem, I recently joined imdb pro and my imdb page (which was showing on google perfectly till a few days ago) has literally disappeared from the google results!! I have a unique name too (Swanyce) and my imdb profile showed as number 3 in the google search when people typed my name. I am surprised to see that my imdb page is completely gone from the google results...!!  it was one of the great advantages of being on the imdb, I hope this will be fixed soon.

When searching an actor's name on google, their IMDb listing used to appear at the top. Now it doesn't appear AT ALL. Why? IMDb Pro is useless to me if we don't even appear in google search results anymore.

Same is happening to me. My IMDB credits are no longer searchable via google. Not even when I type in my name + IMDB. Could someone please fix this. If we're not searchable, then what's the point of IMDB? Thanks!
