hate and loath new name pages - what are we, children who need coloured illustrations? How can I get rid of all the garbage you've put on the name pages and just have written information lists. It's taking forever to download the pages because of all the the redundant pictures.

Install an ad blocker - if you use chrome web browser install adblock or adblockplus it will remove all the rubbish and you can set what you want removed so it doesnt waste time showing these annoying ads if you are on a low broadband speed.
Opera is also a good browser with some good ad removal features.

It isn't ads that are the problem - already have an ad-blocker, it's all the coloured posters imdb is placing on the page - such as the 'known for' section and the garbage down the side of the page under 'quick links' - all with big bold illustrations place there by imdb. All i want is text - doesn't anybody read books any more? Why does everything online have to contain illustrations? In Australia we have this screwed up NBN which gives multiple outages and is much slower than before, these illustrations take time to download and prevent the text beneath it from appearing on the screen. There should be a photo free option for those of us who just want to scan down a list like the old version of the page, fast simple facts - not pretty pictures.

There is always a way
My main motto lol
Im a kit car builder so we always have to find fixes.
It depends on what browser you are using
In internet explorer you can switch off images
http://smallbusiness.chron.com/turn-off-images-internet-explorer-49962.html
Unfortunately it does it for all web pages so you need to switch it on and off dependant
But if you are on low broadband speed you probably want it on all the time
I a work in IT Security for the last 40 years there isnt a single problem i havent been able to fix or find a workaround for it just takes lots of patience and sometimes time to find that fix or just write one yourself
Good luck
