On my IMDb page, there is a false credit of which I have attempted to remove various times in the past 6 months. It was mistakingly added as I was not a part of the project.

I am also confused as to how that helps. It seems pretty obvious to me that the title isn't even correct. "The Joshu'a Soul Film Short" appears to be a description of the film and not the title. The title appears to be Joshu'a Soul but the original submitter did not know how the IMDb worked. Perhaps he missed off a name from the credits the addition of the name is correct. It seems odd that the addition has occurred at least three years after the release and without reference to a cast order listing.

I still have serious doubts that Manny Alva was either credited on or
appears in Joshua's Soul. When I searched for Many Alva and the film
under its correct title and removed any results that existed as a result
of the title error on the IMDb, I got no results at all.

I don't think it is very likely that Manny Alva would deny he appeared in any award winning short. I cannot see why he would do that. More importantly, as his name did not appear on here until some time between June 2012 and February 2017, that is at least three years from its release, and the addition does not include a credit order placing, and was also made for a film called Joshua's Soul without the IMDb staff member noticing the incorrect title back then, I find it hard to believe that the original submission was properly backed up with evidence (not that it had to be originally). In fact, looking at the cast list, there are roles listed being numbered despite being singluar. Eg. 'Medic 1' and 'Nurse 1' with no 'Nurse 2' or 'Medic 2'. If the cast list has been properly upadted, why no order and why the mssing characters? Also, Manny Elva is credited as playing a Brother. He does not look like he could be a brother of any of the other cast, nor could he be a 'brother'.
