How can I do an advanced search showing titles from either US or UK? I simply want to see a list of titles that come from either one of these two countries. Thanks in advance.

Hi Aaron,

You can do this with our advance title search: http://www.imdb.com/search/title under countries select United Kingdom and United States (I typically select multiples by holding the shift key down) then search.

Alternatively, I've searched with these criterias for you and the results can be found here: http://www.imdb.com/search/title?countries=gb,us

Cheers,
Kurt

These parameters show films from both US and UK, whereas I would like titles from either the US, the UK, or the US and UK to be shown. For example, this search http://www.imdb.com/search/title?countries=gb,us provides 6000 results; however this search http://www.imdb.com/search/title?countries=gb shows over 200,000 results from the UK alone. There are even more from the US alone so the total should come close to 1 million results rather than 6000 results.

Hi Aaron,

I believe for the combined search which I linked, you're seeing 6,001 titles for results as this is showing you titles fulfilling the countries listed for films jointly sharing UK and US origins (i.e. taken in a search parameter of 'and' for the two country filters combined rather than 'or').

If you wants to proceed with an 'or' search then I would recommend searching each country separately then looking at each results (do to the large number of results). So the two searches you would need to perform would be listed below:

http://www.imdb.com/search/title?countries=gb
http://www.imdb.com/search/title?countries=us

Best,
Kurt
