I have an IMDB account, it's confirmed, it comes up as active. I need to add a credit to my filmography for THE ORIGINALS episode 5 Sinners and Saints. When I take the appropriate steps (bottom of series page, edit page, etc.) it asks me to confirm my account by clicking the link in the e-mail. when I do so, the message says "this account is already active". Yet when I return to the series page, it asks me to confirm the account again. I'm going around in circles. This is the second time I've had a principal role and not shown up on the cast list, when my castmates are already showing; now I can't even access the page to submit the credit! Also, if you can tell me how to get to the correct page, how do you want the episode listed? #1 ep.5, or by the title of the episode? Please help, i've been trying to get through for over an hour now. ---thank you---Shannon Eubanks

It is possible that you've not completed the further authentication, and you're getting mixed up between that and email verification.

Go here to find out if you are authenticated:

But you still don't need authentication to edit data.

Ahhhhhhh, good point - you do need it to add some data, just not that data:

edit and add to our IMDb FAQ, Parental Guides, Plot Synopsis and Character Names sections,

Its been so long since I did it, I forget.

OK the, scratch that. I am unsure what the error page looks like, but do you resend the authentication or use the first link that was sent?

If the latter then you could try generating a new one:

https://secure.imdb.com/register-imdb...

It might also be that you need to log out, clear the cookies and log back in again, in order to kick the system into gear - it has the smell of a problem with a corrupt cookie not getting the new setting. Perhaps try a hard refresh first - CTRL+F5 in Windows to force it to reload all of the new page and data.
