Helpful review sorting not working after logic principal at least

I do not get the way things are sorted as helpful. it really does not make sense. Below I I post the ranking order it is in on the movie playtime from a bit down to the end. Why have the simple calculation from the former way to list reviews been discarded instead of this impossible ****. I will add I use computer plus browser. Maybe that does a difference.

it is the same on every movie really but here just an example. it may have changed a bit as I have voted a bit too. And I do not recommend the movie but that is besides the point.

But if anyone can explain this for me then I would be happy. first more negative than positive. then more positive. Then less. Then equal amounts. and so it continues.....

Besides that some feedback -
I actually think the idea of opening spoiler reviews is good.
But on movies with 25- 50 reviews it works fine with the load more reviews button.
but with those with many hundred it sucks and you have to make new pages for each 100 or so on in my opinion.

And sorry if this is already a topic somewhere but I cannot find it anywhere.

Hi Peter,

I've passed this onto the team who manages this feature to look into the sorting by "Helpfulness" to see if this is a bug or if they can help clarify how the reviews or sorted.

I'll let you know when we receive further information.

Hi Peter,

I talked with our technical team and they verified the reviews are being sorted correctly.

The current method of how these are sorted is a bit complex. The method being used is described here, if you're interested:

First of I will say it did work better with the wrong number 1 solution as before where lowest number of votes were ranked first as it was before.

After that I am sorry to say but even if that calculation is correctly programmed then it makes no sense at all that a review with more negative than positive votes are ranked ahead of reviews with more positive than negative. That must indeed be a logical error that I do not think anyone else understands.
But it is again your choice to change it to something worse than it already was just for the sake of making it more complicated.

Besides they have also failed to find a solution to the programming in account of reviews that have have zero positive rankings as they are randomly spread.
This new randomizing may be very correct (even though I doubt that) , but try asking people how logical and cool they think this new system is. It at least is not working in any logic way as implemented now.
