I would like to address my complaints to the diligent editors of IMDb, for the recent rejection of an entire batch of photos for the hard-to-find title: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094843/?ref_=rvi_tt
Given the rarity of this late-1980s movie, I decided to update this title and to upload 36 images (7 posters/DVD covers and 29 still frames) of exactly the same quality and characteristics—1019×472 pixels.
However, apart from the posters, nearly all were declined.
“Reason Badly Formatted. Related item has been declined.
Your contribution has been declined. Your data referred to another item which has been declined or deleted, and this means that your data will not appear on the site. If you also submitted the original item and believe that it still warrants inclusion, please review the submission guide and resubmit.”
Here’s one out of three still frames that were accepted: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094843/mediaviewer/rm3539566336
I understand that the image quality is far from perfect; nevertheless, IMDb always takes into consideration the age and the rarity of the movie before making a decision. For example, I tirelessly upload photos for the silent films of Georges Méliès, without any problem.
Since all dedicated contributors want, irrefutably, to improve their services, can you please explain why submissions such as this #180920-074822-961102 and this #180920-074809-791102 (to name a few) were rejected?
you for your time considering my request.
