The correct order for these credits is Alex Gansa 2,1,1 and Howard Gordon 2,1,2. I've corrected the other writing credits to be in order they appear on screen.
I just checked the second episode and it has the same problem. This might be a season-wide issue.

There is a current technical issue that has locked crew updates for this series, rest assured that our technical staff is aware and currently working on a fix to allow updates very soon.
In the meantime, I can manually add the appropriate order numbers for you, which I have now done for the first episode of season 5 that you mentioned, should every episode for this season include those Writer order numbers?

Just to make sure we make the correct changes I will wait until you view the entire season and can confirm, then just let us know here which (or if all) episodes need to be updated with the order numbers. Thanks!

I have finished watching Homeland season 5. Episodes 3-11 are fine (well one of them didn't have an order number for the executive story editor but I was able to correct that.) Episode 12 has the same problem as Episodes 1 & 2. Alex Gansa should be in order 2,1,1 an Howard Gordon should be in episode 2,1,2 (note the attribute should probably capitalize American as the rest of the season has been that way).
Ugh, I just noticed that episodes 1&2 also use the lower case "american". Can we get that fixed as well. Sorry, I hadn't seen this attribute too often. Mistresses also uses the lower case "american". I thought that was because attributes are usually lower case but that doesn't seem to be the case. American should be capitalized as it is a proper noun.

Thanks for all the information. The credit order numbers for episode 5.12 has been modified, I have also corrected the capitalization for the attributes you reported. The changes should be live on the site shortly. Cheers!

It looks like the capitalization went through for episodes 1 & 2, but only one of the developers was capitalized in episode 12 and the are still in the wrong order. It's been three days so I'm wondering if something is wrong.

Episode 5.12 is still not correct and it has been over. I was just wondering if this episode slipped through the cracks or if there is something else going on.

For some reason the previous change didn't take in our system. I have modified the data again for episode 5.12 and will keep an eye to make sure the changes go through.

It looks like Gordon and Gansa got swapped in order. Gansa should be listed first.

At this point, all I can say is "I think so." I have only watched the first 2 episodes and they have the problem. The first episode eschewed the traditional credits and only had credits after the show. The writer credits were slightly different with "written by" first, "developed for american television by" second and "based on the israeli series" third.
The second episode has the tradition opening credit sequence with the normal writing order of "based on the israeli series" first, "developed for american television by" second and then the "written by" third. I have no reason to believe that the rest of the season won't be like this.
You can either go ahead and change them or wait until I finish watching the season later this week. I'll update this post once I'm finished with the season.
