Horribly inappropriate keyword suggestions

A friend tried adding a "directed-by-woman" keyword and was given "defecating-on-woman" and "killed-by-spikes" as suggestions. If a human staffer did that, you'd fire them.

Getting more specific about the problem - it appears that:

The keyword suggestion engine does no semantic analysis of keywords for suggestion purposes
All keywords are considered neutral; there is no concept of a sensitive or offensive keyword (or if there is, the suggestion engine doesn't know about it)
The community has plenty of knowlege of the appropriate keywords for particular topics (such as "f-rated" and "title-directed-by-female") but none of that knowledge is being implemented in the suggestion engine

My apologies if this is old news to everyone, but I'm staggered by how terrible this feature is.

I have given Yoz a "me too" vote on this.

Additional information for the IMDb staff: When just searching for keywords, a search for "directed by woman" will come up with the following choices:

directed-by-women (4 titles)
title-directed-by-woman (15 titles)

Thus, the regular search, using existing software, is able to come up with keywords that are relevant and appropriate (albeit apparently not used very much).

Only when one is trying to add a keyword to a title and enters "directed-by-woman" will one be given inappropriate and irrelevant suggestions in response.

To begin with: "directed-by-woman" is an inappropriate keyword. The CORRECT keyword is "title-directed-by-female." I have submitted these corrections.

Keywords SHOULD NOT DUPLICATE other keywords. Instead of just blindly submitting a keyword, one should check to see if there are existing keywords that cover the same subject so as not to duplicate keywords.

Also, whatever "engine" is being used to suggest other keywords has absolutely nothing to do with subjectively offensive suggestions. IMDb should NOT be in the business of censorship!

This concern also supports my long held belief that there needs to be s Keyword Cross Reference Index. In this case, it would say: FOR "directed-by-woman," SEE "title-directed-by-female."
