I worked as a production coordinator in the prep of a TV series but not in the shoot. How do I add the credit for prep time as you can only add credits to episodes?

Since in essence you are really responsible for the first episode airing, it would be appropriate to add yourself to what would be the Pilot or Season 1 Episode 1. All your work made that episode possible.

Thanks for the comment. But is there no way to add prep?

No. No way to add the word prep. Add the credit as you see exactly above in the picture. It is the only way IMDb will accept the credit.

Change the occupation dropdown to 'Other' and in the box below it type:
production coordinator: prep
If your name doesn't appear in the on-screen credits, you must also include the (uncredited) attribute. (or if your name is in the credits, you should list your occupation exactly as it's seen there)

If the series is not released yet, perhaps it’s possible to talk with the production company about the credits. Everything becomes easier if the person is actually credited.
