I am the Voice of Signor in “Years and Years” and on episodes one and two my surname was misspelled. Episodes three to six were corrected to read the correct “McCready”. How can I correct the spelling in the IMDb cast credit?

Hi, Glen McCready.

Please follow the official guidelines (links are clickable):

Especially those parts:

Our general rule is to list people in the database under their most recently and/or frequently credited stage or professional name.
First, it is important to note that we want to record the way the credits appeared on screen. If your name is spelled wrong on the screen, we still want to record that fact.
Let's say, though, that all the credits listed for you in the database are wrong. Easy enough: Look up the misspelled name, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Edit Page button, and choose Name Correction / Add Correction. Click on Continue, and fill in the forms that follow. There's a very important check box on this page marked "update existing credits with 'as' attribute"-- if the listing we have matches what appears on screen, you should check this box.

Hi Glen -

I can see that you have two separate page listings:

"Glen McCready":
"Glen McReady":

For the page with the misspelled name, you will want to merge that page to your correctly spelled name page, this is done through a Name Merge Correction, as MAthePA described above, you will need to make sure that you do check the box within your name merge submission form marked "update existing credits with 'as' attribute".

Once all your credits have been merged to your correctly spelled name page, you will need to submit the episode credit corrections for the episodes where you were not credited with the misspelled name, and request to remove the 'aka' name attribute from those credits.

Let us know if you have questions or need any help!

Thank you so much!
Is this a process that I could request that the production company (whose original mistake it was) handle?
As an IMDb pro member, which I assume they are, would they be able to remove the misspelling and replace it with the correct spelling more quickly and easily than I could?
Many thanks again for helping me with this!
Best wishes,
