How did your name appear in on screen credits? Can you provide screen captures showing your name?

That's no problem.  It just needs to be documented accurately.

So, it seems you're talking about the page Gord Sylvestor

It lists:

Perfect Sisters (set dresser)
Lucky Christmas (dresser)

Was your name spelled, on screen, as "Gord Sylvestor" for both?

Also, you mention:

The Christmas Heart (2012)
Mr Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story (2013)

Are these the right titles?  How were you listed on screen?  Do you have/ can you get, screen shots of your name appearing on screen for these, so they can be added to the page?

And in that one, you were credited on screen as "Gord Sylvestor?"

I also did set dec in a Christmas heart we were children silent night the Christmas horror story and mr Hockey I have not seen the screen credits for any of these movies
This text-speak typing is difficult to follow.  Can you communicate in proper English, with helpful punctuation, and list the titles as specifically as you can, including links to them that lead to the IMDb pages, if you can find them?

I really am trying to help.  I am sure it's important to you and it seems that if it's important enough for you to ask for help, perhaps you can provide a little more information that is useful.

Is the "mr Hockey" you have typed twice, the same as the one I linked by it's proper title above?

By "Chrismas heart" and/or "a Christmas heart," (neither of which are listed on IMDb), do you mean, as I linked above, "The Christmas Heart (2012) (TV Movie)?"

You've now added, "we were children" seemingly, does that mean We Were Children (2012), if not, can you specify or offer a link it what you're talking about is listed in IMDb?

I can't really tell, but it looks like you mention "the Christmas horror story," does that refer to A Christmas Horror Story (2015)?  I don't see a "the Christmas horror story" listed in IMDb.  Has the one you worked on been listed on IMDb?

a Christmas heart we were children silent night the Christmas horror story and mr Hockey
Can you parse this out a bit and divide it into specific titles I could work with?  Where possible, add links to IMDb pages.

I have not seen the screen credits for any of these movies
Some are available on Amazon at a small price.  You could purchase/rent them, print screen and save an image of your name in the credits, or you can verify they are not credited, etc., then save and upload the image here using the little camera icon.  I'd do it, but can't justify the cost as much as you could, but still wouldn't mind if it's a problem for you...if this whole thing wasn't making me feel like you really don't care and that finding details wasn't a bit like pulling teeth...

I have pay stubs from every one of them that states my real name and position for that movie and what movie and they came to me from
Those wouldn't help verify if/how the credits appeared on screen.  It wouldn't do as much good, at this point, as actually answering the questions above and providing, if you can get them, screen captures of the on screen credits.  If it turns out the corrections are rejected for more proof, that might be an option for them to verify that work was done and that an "uncredited" entry might get listed.  But at this point, I don't see it helping anything.  It can be dealt with later, if it's that's all we would have to give.

If you've previously, as it would seem, that you previously worked as Gord Sylvestor, do you plan to use your actual name, Gordon Silvester, and be credited on screen that way, going forward?

If all your credits are under the name Gord Sylvestor, that's how the heading on your page should appear, but your actual or nick name(s) can be added to the page so people might be able to search you out that way.

Your name can be fixed.  But the credits need to be documented...it's what IMDb is/does.  They document on screen credits.

Without any additional info, it seems though, that you should just be adding a birth or nickname to the page and not changing what's there.  According to IMDb guidelines, the name heading, without you giving any more detail, should be the name as it has appeared in all your credits.

how do I get it changed to the proper spelling
How it's done depends on how the credits appear.  I am not asking to entertain myself.  It matters and changes the instructions.  I am trying to answer you, but need information first.

I'd prefer it gets done once, correctly (as staff would and users would appreciate too), the first time and not need to fix other mistakes it creates when doing it wrong.

messed up on the spelling of my name in the credit of every movie I did how do I get a changed
I am trying to do that and also to add the missing credits...just trying to get a straight answer...the first 3 times you posted, you add different titles...just trying to help you.

Okay...I have submitted the correction (which you do by going to your page, clicking "edit page" and choosing to correct the name and filling in the form).  If you want other credits added so your page is complete, please just answer the questions above.

The name change has a good chance that it'll be rejected since all your credits appear as "Gord Sylvestor" and since their guidelines are that the name heading should appear as your credits do and a "birth" or "nick" name should have, instead, been added to indicate the real name.  So, we're taking a shot.

I'd have hoped you'd have just verified, as I asked, that this is how you'll be credited going forward...but there you go.

In the future, if you don't want to give specifics here, you can use the "help" section which answers just about any question, such as:

How can I change my name in the database?

Also, see:

Adding Data to IMDb

Good luck!

Gordon: If your name was misspelled in the credits of a movie, that is the fault of the producers or whoever they hired to type the credits to be placed in the film. That is not the fault of IMDb, nor of the contributors who post on this message board.

Now I see that you have an IMDb page under the name "Gordon Silvester" at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6182943/. That is the same spelling you are using right here, so that should be right.

If you had your name misspelled in the credits of a film, then IMDb is supposed to indicate that using an (as ...) attribute to indicate that it was you working on the film, but credited under a different spelling. That's also what they would do if you decided to include your middle initial, or if you decided to use a nickname like "Gordie Silvester", or if a woman got married and changed her name, or any other name situation that would be different from your official IMDb name.

Your page says that on both "Perfect Sisters" and "Lucky Christmas", you were listed in the credits under the misspelled version of your name, "Gord Sylvestor". As shown in the screen capture posted earlier in this thread, they did use that spelling in the credits of "Perfect Sisters", so we know that IMDb has that correct.

So my questions are:

What other films should be listed on your page at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6182943/? And how was your name spelled in the credits of each film, or were you uncredited in the film?

Please provide a link to the IMDb page of each of those films. For example, if you need to have The Christmas Heart (2012) listed, then put:

The Christmas Heart - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2415468/
and then say how you were credited (if at all) in that film, and what your job title was on that film.

I hope this helps. Good luck!
