How do I add credits to episodes of a series if only the final episode has credits?

In some series (particularly mini-series), only the final episode will have credits or the series as a whole will have a list of credits. What credits should be added to each individual episode, considering not all the cast or even crew will have worked on every episode? Should I add the whole list of credits to each episode and use (credit only) where known? Should everyone in the episodes without credits be (uncredited)?

Hi Matt -

You will need to submit credited entries (where an individual was credited on-screen for their role) to each individual episode where the individual is credited on.

If there are episodes for the series where no individual is credited on-screen, you will need to submit the credits for the individuals who worked on that episode as 'uncredited'  (when you submit their credits you will need to include "uncredited' within the attribute field).  So yes, for anyone who worked on the episode but was not credited on that episode, this attribute should be included.

Thanks. Is that still the case even if the end credits for the final episode where clearly meant to be the credits for the entire series? For instance, for the mini-series I'm mainly enquiry about, the end credits in the final episode contain the cast credits for the entire series, including the actors who weren't in the final episode. Should those actors be given a (credit only) credit for that episode?

Yes, the actors who only appear in the episodes that have no credit would need to be entered there with an (uncredited) attribute and in the episode with the credits with a (credit only) attribute.

This has also occurred in some soap operas, although they are not completely corrected yet (and may never be as they don't tend to have re-airings).  For example, I believe All My Children had full credits for the week on Friday, and only Title credits during the rest of the week. If you check various actors you will see that they often have alternating (uncredited) and (credit only) entries.  If you look at Trent Garrett's 2011 credits for that show you will see a stretch where all his credits have one attribute or the other.
