How do I contact an imdb member

You cannot. All information remains private. Sometimes a user will list an e-mail on their user page.

Adding to what Ed said there might be a slight possibility of contacting the user by commenting one of his lists, which requires a Facebook account. It's not guaranteed to work (and user might not have any list whatsoever), though.
