I have a thank you credit listed as "the producers wish to thank" in the film Paranormal Activity (2007). It appears in a big list of names. In it I am listed as Avery Battles. It used to be up on IMDb for years but mysteriously disappeared. I tried to submit it multiple times before but it was rejected requiring more proof. I have this screenshot now:

You could try to submit the credit again and include the link to this thread in the explanation field as evidence.
You can also post the reference number of your submission here so IMDb staff can check up on it.

Ed Jones I am an open book. I'm not out in California. I'm an online freelance indie Publicist and sometimes Producer. I work rather differently than your typical marketing company or Publicist but as any of the filmmakers I have worked with will tell you I get results. Part of my deal working much cheaper than typical Publicists is the credit in the film. That's a given. I started as a news hound/tipster for popular genre movie news sites, interviewer, film festival programmer, and so on which is how I started meeting /getting acquainted with filmmakers/crew/actors/distributors and making so many contacts. All of my credits, unless listed as "uncredited", can easily be checked out by viewing the films or asking the directors. There are a few ( maybe 5) to where the filmmaker forgot to credit me which I have usuccessfully tried to remove as I don't want a bunch of "uncredited" listed. I also have the alternative names Avery Battles, Glenn Avery Battles, Glenn A. Battles clearly listed on my page and at least a couple of "as" credits. Oh and links to my personal social media pages that link up the names. My name Avery Battles can easily be seen in the screen grab. Unlike many "Publicists" that are on social media all day posting selfies of themselves hanging with their celebrity friends in shameless self promotional posts I'm more of a behind the scenes guys actually getting results. I find it very hard to believe you didn't find anything about me in a Google search. Remember I am a film Publicist and not an agent to the actors. When I search just my name through Google I see endless news articles/posts to where I am credited as the source. Good ol publicity. Anyways I wish you the best of luck in with your career and thanks for the concern.

Thank you. I know lots of filmmakers in California if you're looking for work? Maybe I can send some your way? You really should be requiring a screen credit for all of your hard work though to have something more to show immortalized on film as part of your deal. We deserve it and are a part of the crew as much as anyone else.

You're welcome. It's approved and live now.
If any troll tries to sabotage it in the future, mention this reference number in your attempt to re-add it: #200417-113806-075000
Its explanation box contains the irrefutable proof.
Cheers.

Ed Jones(XLIX)
His name is nowhere to be found in that screengrab.
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3475340/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
He has 11 special thanks credits that are in post production out of the 64 total.
He has 109 publicist credits in a scant 8 years.
I also googled his name along with all the famous persons he claims to have worked with and other than his IMDb page, I found Zero internet trace that connected him to anybody!
Someone probably actually saw the title that he is referring to and submitted the deletion.
Also his total page is suspect.
It needs an investigation.
Look at this Bio.........Avery Guerra is an indie genre film Publicist and Producer known for his work on films such as Snake Outta Compton (2018) , It Came From The Desert (2017) , Boar (2017) , Terrordactyl (2016) , Roger Corman's CobraGator (2019) , and many, many more. He has worked on films and been credited alongside name talents like Roger Corman, Jim Wynorski, Fred Olen Ray, Chris Sun, Dee Wallace, Danielle Harris, Akira Takarada, Tony Todd, Yukijiro Hotaru, Danny Trejo, etc.
I have been out here in California for 2 years. I have done some paid IMDb data entry work for many producers. But I do not insert my name on their titles. One producer has graciously offered me a production assistant credit for all my hard work for him on his next upcoming project. It will likely no be seen by many. Nikolay has given me a special thanks credit only twice. bot for this guy to rack up the amount of credits he has with such well known names is suspect. C-mon. Common sense says this body of credits are suspect.

Do you still want to back this guy?
He had this removed, and IMDb agreed.
You saying IMDb was wrong?

It is up to IMDb to approve or reject credits. I have only said how to submit it based on the available information.
