How do I reclaim a credit that has been uploaded under a misspelled name?

I have a producer credit on a 2019 short film. When it was uploaded my name was misspelled and a new page was set up with the wrong name. The spelling is not one of my Alternate name spellings.

I have made two submissions on imdb pro, the second one I checked the box to explain more and submitted a link to the film which shows my name correctly spelled in the credits. They have now both been declined. The reference number is 200415-111750-274000

I don't know what else to do to try and get this changed now, and i'm also concerned there are now two pages on the site for me and future credits could now be wrongly attributed.

I'd be very grateful for you advice on here. Thanks

Hey Ed. Thanks so much for your reply. Is it possible to merge the accounts without the wrong spelling being carried over too? Or will it always have (as - incorrect spelling) now? And in that case does the incorrect spelling remain on the page as an alternate name as well? Cheers

There is a box that can be checked to preserve the credits incorrect spelling.
If your name is spelled incorrectly in the credits of that title, you want them (Users of the database) to be able to find you based off of that incorrect spelling. So be careful and read the contribution interface carefully so that it either preserves or does not preserve.

Also this happens a lot. Make sure you are correcting the additional name page created by merging your correct page into the new page. You do not want to do it the opposite way.

Thanks Ed! Basically I don't want to preserve the incorrect spelling, I want to claim the credit so it is under the same name name as my previous credits. So I will make sure the box that says (Preserve previous name on existing credits. i.e. '(as Archie Johnson Stewart)') is unticked. Does that sound right to you?

On your second point i'm confused. Surely I want to merge the incorrect page with only 1 credit into the main one where the name is correct already? The video says you have to start the edit on the page you want to delete. Is that correct in this case too?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, i'm just terrified of getting it wrong and having to go through an even harder process! Thanks mate

By IMDb rule if the credit is misspelled in the title, then it must remain.
If you submit it and it does not match, someone that sees the title in the future will recreate the name page you are merging and you'll be right back where you started. A credit that is not on your page. Also "IF" IMDb verifies that lone credit and finds that the spelling is a mismatch it may cause a rejection of the merge.

So do not do it the way you describe unless the credit on that title is spelled correctly.
Making a submission and bending the rule, can cost you in the long run if it is found that you submitted false data. They can and will hold up all your other submissions and may ask for additional proof from you for all your submissions.

So it is best to do it by the rule.
Just letting you know what will happen. That's all.
Your in control.
You may do as you like.

Not quite sure I follow you here. I am not submitting any false data so that is not a concern.

I have followed the video and instructions on the page you shared, it all seemed to make sense. Fingers crossed, thanks for your help.

I'll try to simplify.
Is your credit just misspelled here on IMDb?
Or
Is your credit misspelled here on IMDb and in the title?
