To explain what I mean, instead of looking for shows that were released from 2000-2011 for example, how do you search for shows that lasted 2000 to 2011?

Hello,

Our search filters currently only filters by release date. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I've changed this thread to "Idea", as our teams often review Get Satisfaction when contemplating future site enhancements.

Trevor, please refer to a similar idea at https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/option-to-limit-number-of-seasons-in-advanced-search-for-lis... because it doesn't require specific years to be inputted.

but I have a question, what is the difference then between searching by release date and by year ascending/descending?
