... that has been deleted from all titles remain in the suggested list of keywords that can be added and in the list of keywords that appear while doing a search?

It depends on where you are searching for the keyword. If you are using the search bar at the top of any page, it disappears quite quickly for me, usually overnight. If you are talking about in the suggestions when you are entering keywords in the edit form, I don't think it ever disappears. In fact, I've seen lots of suggestions in that area that have no titles attached to them (usually because they are misspelled and someone corrected them.)

Yes, I'm talking about the suggestions when you are entering the keyword in the edit form,  When one tries to enter a new keyword, and are offered suggestions in a drop-down menu, you are still offered keywords that were at one time misspelled and/or deleted or corrected, but are still offered as possibilities.

Can you post some Keyword examples that you have seen in the Update form, despite those keywords no longer being listed on the site?

An example: Try a keyword search on the word "grind house."  The drop-down menu says that there are 34 titles.  Hit on that word, and you get no titles

Here Bradley is referring to the site keyword search. Also note that grind-house does not exist in this search result:

In the edit form, grindhouse is accepted, but so is grind-house, which is also suggested when I enter a misspelling:

I'm sorry to say that you are correct, the keywords do not disappear from this menu even when empty.

We did do a bulk clean-up of these last year though.
