How to block an IMDb user from adding false credits?

Someone who's not associated with my film - added himself to credits as "Producer". I don't know this person, but he seems to be an IMDbPro user. I know how to delete this credit, but is it possible to prevent this person from adding himself again? Is it possible to block a person from adding false credit? Thanks.

Talk to the guy. Try sending him a polite message (PM) not to do it again, and see how it goes.

I'll try to do that, but according to my research - this guy goes around (online) and claims to be a financier for films. So, he might be  scammer.

If that's the case, you can report him, too.

Hi B.R. -

We cannot restrict updates for a specific person or title to a single source or reject further changes, however,  if you submit complete cast/crew information for the film via the online additions system, and we can verify that it matches the onscreen credits we can mark the listing as 'complete/verified'. This helps prevent future accidental and incorrect additions/changes.

Hi Michelle, I saw your response to this post which makes sense. However every time I try to remove one of the 'associate producers' who actually isn't... It's never removed, and so I am worried of verifying/completing my crew in case this person is not removed. What steps must I take to remove them and verify immediately?

How does one submit a copy of the onscreen credits, please? Would like to have a project listed as 'complete/verified'. Thank you!
