I now have a poster for my movie but can't figure out how to change out the primary photo.  Clues?  :)   It's Red Dog & Bates - the poster is in my approved photos but doesn't seem there's a way to swap.   I'd appreciate any help.

Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: primary photo - change.

Hi Xochi -

Before submitting a request report to change the primary poster for your film, I would encourage you to review our Image Guidelines for Title Primary Images.

Then, to suggest a primary image change:

1) Navigate to the image you wish to become the primary
2) Click 'Edit Tags'
3) If the image is eligible for use as the title's primary, the form will have the 'Primary Image' option at the top, just underneath 'ABOUT THIS IMAGE'. Click the drop-down arrow.
4) Tick the box 'Suggest as primary image for ...'
5) Explain 'Why should this be the primary image (optional)?'
6) Click 'Submit'

Your report will then be forwarded to our editors for review.

I've tried the above.    The picture now does say "This is your primary picture"  but the new poster I'd like to use has no option to Suggest as primary image for...neither #4,5 or 6 are options.   I have tried this before on my own but am now asking for help.    Please.    Thank you.    Xochi

Hi Xochi,

In addition to what the kind member of the IMDb help desk, Michelle, said, I would like to say that, sometimes, adding data to a page can be a somewhat knotty task for a fresh IMDb member—so, with this in mind—I took the liberty of re-uploading a photo to your project, after rescaling it for a better fit, and most important, tagging it as a “poster”.

For all your future projects, please remember to tag your preferred photo as a “poster”, to be eligible for the primary photo which will represent the movie/project.

Of course, I do not know the names of the actors appearing in the photo, so I would also encourage you to edit their names from the photo options, moreover, consider adding an additional plot outline of no more than 239 characters, to introduce the documentary to this community and the world.

Have a little patience, and check the page later on.

I hope this helps.

All the best,

Nick (A fellow IMDb member)

THANK YOU!!  I really appreciate your time in doing this.    Thanks for the lesson too.   I've now tagged the names and taken care of that.    Looks great!    Xochi
