How to flag a fake profile?

Hello,

I don't see a way to flag a fake profile. For example, I came across one actor, Taliban Hendrix, never heard of him. He has tried to write an unbelievable profile of himself on Wikipedia, saying he was leading a branch of MS13 at the age of 6 yet somehow was in the cast of Thomas the Tank Engine. But I see this all of the time, wanna-be actors listing their home YouTube videos as "films" and adding themselves to casts of existing shows when it becomes clear that they live in the middle of nowhere and don't work in the TV/Film business.

I realize that this is an enormous site and users add most of the content. But it seems like there should be some way of flagging profiles of actors or directors who are clearly padding their resumes by saying they worked on legitimate programs or films when they never appear on real cast or crew lists. Facebook, YouTube, other platforms allow users to flag accounts for further inspection but I don't see any way to do that here. Ideas?

You do that right here. This is not Craigslist. Investigations take place. Automatic algorithms are not employed here. So you have started the process. But you will need to provide all the information (evidence) you have and post it here. URL's of the proof is needed. Wikipedia is generally considered bad sourcing. So other backup data would be needed.
Thanks

Also to ponder

Those biographies may be spam.

Hi Liz,

Thank you for your help in keeping IMDb accurate.

As Ed has mentioned, you are able to report inaccurate information here or directly via the Contact Form

Regarding the above profile, are you aware of any additional information elsewhere (as Ed stated) that may help us to reach the appropriate action? For example, any instances of the profile online, credits that do not appear yet are listed on the the site. We can then open an investigation.

We look forward to your reply.
