How to I delete a submitted update before It has been processed?

Hello.

I faulty added a "thanks" which I later on found already is added, how can I delete submitted update 181021-110447-213000 ?

On my "Update History" it says:
"Please note that deleting a submitted batch does not cancel the submission. It only removes the submission from this history. "

Why is there no option to delete the submitted update?

Hopefully an IMDb staff will spot this topic in time...
Now, a duplicate "thanks" is no such big deal. If it shows up in the title page, you can request to have it deleted, stating that it is a duplicate and a link to this topic!

The submission interface itself does not provide IMDb non-staff with an option to prevent a submission from being reviewed and approved, so you basically have to come to this forum as you already have or submit an inquiry through the IMDb contact form, immediately after you realize that you made a mistake. If the erroneous or duplicate data winds up being approved, no big deal since the IMDb site authorities can revert it, or IMDb contributors with enough knowledge about the correct presentation can make followup corrections.
