How to know if a poll is already posted while creating a list in IMDb?

1. This is the poll section of IMDb - 2 to 3 polls get published everyday. You'll see your poll here if it gets published.

2. Dan or other poll board members will notify you when your poll gets published.

Hi Kalyanapu Kaushik,

In addition to what DC wrote above:

Generally one of the regular poll authors reply in your thread within 24 hours after your poll goes live.

You can also check whether a poll suggestion by replacing "list" with "poll" in the link to the list. If you get a 404 (page not found) error, the list has not been published as a poll.

For example:

Since this list has not yet been published as a poll, this link produces a 404 error.

This poll recently went live:
Best Daniel Day-Lewis Movie

Substituting poll in place of list shows that the list has been published as a poll.

You will also notice that the thread has been marked live
Live Poll: Birthday Special- Best Daniel Day-Lewis Movie

... and there is a reply indicating that the poll has gone live.
