How to make links on this new system.

How do we make people, title, characters links as we could on the regular boards - [link=tt0058708] for example. This doesn't render as the title the code belongs to.

When moving old board posts to this board copying and pasting the text still contains the linkage but when you use the code as above it doesn't work. Help?

I guess it won't work that way here.

You can post regular links by just copy-pasting a URL.

Jen,

On GS you don't have to use BB Codes that we used to use on IMDb Boards. Here you just have to copy paste the titles/names from IMDb pages. After posting those will be clickable by default.

Example:

Batman's IMDb Character Page: Batman

How did I get? - First I opened 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)' IMDb page (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2975590/). Then copied 'Batman' from the case section and paste it here.

Now, if you open Batman's IMDb character page (http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0000177) and copy 'Batman' and paste it here, that will not show clickable link.

To make your title/name/character link clickable, you have to copy it from somewhere it carries a clickable link.

Hi Jen,

Echoing what was previously said, GetSatisfaction allows you to copy and paste hyperlinks directly into your message text. You can also use the hyperlink button below the text box:
