How to properly credit this actress?

I was watching the first episode of season 5 of the Blacklist and someone had already added Christine Lahti the cast list. While she does actually appear in the episode, it is using footage from the previous season. This doesn't seem to fit into the "archive footage" attribute. Per the guide, the footage shouldn't have been shot for the production in question and this was footage actually shot for The Blacklist.

I moved it to "uncredited" but is that sufficient? It seems there should be another attribute for using clips from previous episodes.

Why doesn't it seem to fit into the "archive footage" attribute?

From the cast guide on archive footage, "The (archive footage) attribute is used for footage that was shot for a separate, earlier production (and not for the same series if TV), such as a newsreel, home movie, outtakes, etc., or for archival documentation and not the specific production it is used in."

This is footage from the same series for a TV show, so per the guide it shouldn't be credited that way.

Those are just examples. (archive footage) can also be used for footage from previous episodes of the same series

No actually it can't. It specifically says "and not for the same series if TV".

Well then how do you credits flashbacks to earlier episodes?

I would say it generally isn't a problem as the characters also appear and are credited for the episode. 

Do you enter it as a "movie connection" as "features" the previous episode? I don't know and the guide isn't much help here (and there never seems to be update for new or unaccounted scenarios).

I always submit them as (archive footage) even when they're from the same series

Hi Adrian,

Thanks for your post, please see the section of the guide here:

"If someone's appearance is credited on screen it automatically qualifies as a valid archive footage credit, regardless of what type of archive footage it is. This supersedes any of the potential exclusions below"

Can you confirm if they were credited in the show?

In circumstances like this I'd recommend the The "movielink" rule to tie the two together:

"If someone's appearance is uncredited and covered by a movielink entry (e.g., footage from a film is recycled as a "prologue" or flashback in a sequel or subsequent film in a series) it does not qualify as "archive footage.""

Sorry. That does not help at all. Does that mean she should not be credited at all and add a movielink to the previous episode? We've already ruled out that it isn't archive footage as it was shot for the same TV series.
