How to "unlock" search for adult content

I know that "adult" movies and actors can be searched with the advanced search and ticking the last option. But this is quite cumbersome: whenever I am not reaching a result that I expect, I have to think it over whether it can be an "adult object", reach for the advanced search, chose the title search, fill in the field again, reach for the page end, tick the option and search again...

Cannot we be given the definitive option to include/exclude adult results in our site preferences? I really cannot see/understand what would prevent it. E.g. Google search preferences include it as well.
(And of course, by all standards, my age qualifies me to view such results... !)

Hi Vincent,

The adult search feature currently needs to be enabled once for each active session. Thank you for your suggestion to keep this selection enabled for multiple sessions. I've moved this post to our "Ideas" section as our team routinely reviews these when considering future site enhancements.

Thanks for your feedback, Trevor. Nevertheless, I just need to clarify: you say that it needs to be enabled once for each active session. But from my experience, just retested, it has to be enabled for each search, even a few seconds apart within the same active session...

Thanks for the additional information. I can't reproduce this as I'm  now enabled. Are you logged into your IMDb account?

Hi Vincent,

Can you please confirm which of these options you're experiencing this issue with?

1) On the search results:

2) On the advanced title search:

Hi Claire, thanks a lot for your feedback.
I was referring to (2).
I had not spotted (1) and it does work.

Thanks again.

Thanks for confirming, Vincent.

Please know that the Adult Titles option on the Advanced Title Search (screenshot 2) will always default back to "Exclude" for each new search. This is the same for any search options on the Advanced Title Search page; upon each search, you will need to re-enter your complete search parameters for any section (Title Type, Genre, Keywords, etc.).

Alternatively, the "Enable adult titles/names in your searches" option on any search results page (screenshot 1) will stay enabled as a preference as long as you are signed in to your IMDb account, and will only apply to standard searches via the search bar at the top of the IMDb site (NOTE: this option does not affect the search results for Advanced Title Search).
