How do I speak with customer service? The phone number on my Visa bill says to come to the website. The website has no phone number to call or way to communicate via email to correct a billing problem. As far as I can determine after exploring the site for over an hour, the only email option is if you need help opening a new account. How can a credible web service operate professionally with such terrible customer service. I need someone from IMDb to call me and correct the unauthorized monthly billing.  David Dionisi

IMDb does not offer telephone support.

All pages of the site have a "contact us" link that leads here to either post here and get help from staff or other users, or contact the staff directly via this form linked at the end of this statement, that is shown on front page of the forum (in the side bar at the right, under the "welcome" statement):

For issues regarding accounts or questions involving non-public information, please log into your IMDb.com account and contact our support staff privately via this form.
They will not discuss billing issues here as they'd need to get your personal information to prove you own the account which you're contacting them about.

I seriously just bought the ability to add a poster for my new show & for some reason it cant find the show in the database even though i can clearly see the show on my profile page & on my IMDb account.

Was it just added? If so, it could take an additional day or two to appear in all connected pages and forms. If it doesn't show up in a day or two, post again with specifics, but start a new discussion. Don't post here in an unrelated topic.

Hi Spencer,

I'd like to look into this situation a little further to investigate the root cause. I am unable to locate a subscription or any message sin our Helpdesk based on your Get Satisfaction email.

Can I ask if your subscription claimed a name page? If so, can you confirm the URL? This will allow me to locate your subscription. I would normally ask for the email address; however, we do not recommend providing personal information here as this is a public community.

I have been trying too cancel my account for well over a year! I have credits on my profile for movies I was NOT involved in and asked for those to be removed almost 3 years ago. Why am I still paying each month? Taking my money but not being of any assistance AT ALL!!!!!

Remove your credit card from you profile.  That way the can not bill you

When logged in to Pro, do you see the cancel link at the bottom of the page? What happens if you use it?

Having Pro does not let you delete data at will. It's likely that you should correct the entries rather than delete them. Which page is it and which credits are wrong?

They still should be corrected regardless of your account status.

Regarding data on the page in your name, Pro allows you to add photos, a resume and contact info. Pro has nothing to do with credits anywhere at all. Where did you get the impression it does? It's not advertised or implied on the site.

  Was your billing problem ever fixed?  I cancelled my 30 day free trial and right after they billed me!  I was hoping to get some insight on the matter.  I have already contacted them directly using the link.

Note that if you cancel after the expiry of the free period and you have been billed, the cancellation does not trigger a rebate. IMDb only offers a recurring subscription, and the cancellation simply prevents the  system from rebilling at the end of the paid period.

This is a deliberate design. There are a number of people who do not want to have an automatic rebill on their credit cards. This allows them to subscribe (probably for a year) and then cancel the next day (or week). The account remains active to the end of the paid period, but then lapses, rather than creating a bill for the next period, i.e. effectively an non-recurring subscription.

The downside to this is that if you are late cancelling, you will not receive a refund automatically, but must request one.

I just discovered that they have been billing me since 2009!!!   No one will respond to my requests for contact.  It's over $200 per year and I don't even use the service.  I am furious.  I don't think I will ever be reimbursed for this.  The owe me at least $1,600.00.  What a massive rip off!!

Remove your credit card from your account information, so that they can not bill you.  Also  I would call your credit card company and dispute the charge.

Same here! I activated the wrong account for mistake and IMMEDIATELY cancelled it as soon as I realized. But despite several messages, they still didn't cancel the transaction, and now I've been charged 149.99 for an account I NEVER used.

What kind of a company has no contact numbers for customer service?? They send y9u in circles filling out forms that go no-where and do nothing! I subscribed to one month and was charge for a year!! and No-One to give me refund!!! This site is a rip off joke.!!!

I'm having the same problem.  I contacted them three times through customer service mail with questions about my IMDb page .  No response thus far.  i contacted them about a charge on my credit card.  The number provided with the card gave another email address to contact via the web site.  i went to that web address and it's an inactive page.  This is one crappy customer service provider.  Can anyone help?

Yes, file a dispute with your credit card company against IMDB and let that company fight it out for you.
