An ordinary user can't do this directly.

If an actor or their representative want to add, change a headshot then they'd need an IMDB Pro subscription.

If someone else thinks the current image is poor and that there is a better one in the photo galleries then they can post the information here and staff might look into it.

I actually have an IMDB Pro subscription. I am currently using the 2 week trial and I've signed up for the yearly plan after my trial ends but I still cannot seem to find any settings to change the headshot. Please advise thanks.

Hi Peter, thanks but I am doing this on behalf of a friend who is an actor. I don't want to claim the page. I'd like to change this actor's IMDB profile picture to this picture http://www.imdb.com/media/rm132903782...

Every Resume Subscription is controlled (updated/maintained) by a single Pro Account, and each Pro Account may only maintain one Resume.

Adding/changing photographs is done via Resume, and therefore must be done only through the Pro Account that is linked to that Resume. Your Pro Account has no more rights to modify his Resume than a non-Pro Account.

Okay, but it looks like that actor already has an active subscription, so he (or whoever manages that account) should be able to select or upload his preferred picture.

Based on staff approval that it makes a suitable headshot. This might not:

A photo used headshot gets cropped and in that one his face might be too large and slightly too far to the right, so cropping might cut parts of him out of the picture.

Amazed that anyone would believe they have any right to interfere with any part of an actor's profile.  If user Leon Eagle's friend is genuinely an actor then the logical and common sense thing to do is to ask him to change his picture himself.  If you did find a way to alter an actor's profile in any way without his/her consent, you could find yourself in legal trouble,

Believe it or not some Genuine Actors can't do it themselves. And don't have a huge staff to help. IMDB should do it for them, or accept submissions to be reviewed. The star of HBO's Cathouse has a blank pic and I can't fix it for him. We're having dinner together right now. Back in the day, most Actors and Actresses had big staffs, agents, and promoters - but today - especially in the Adult Industry - we're more likely to be like the little one-man-band monkey toy. And that makes IMDb look stupid. I could fix stupid for you. If you'd let me. Do something.

Clicking the button to make a pic "primary" is about as simple as it gets.  If someone can't do that, they certainly are going to have trouble creating a submission to ask someone to click it for him/her.

Further, you're suggesting IMDb staff take up the jobs of others...who will pay for this staff?  You?

IMDb and its data comes directly from users.  If we're "stupid," then we're all stupid...yet, you're included.

If you have a suggestion for the staff to consider, create an "idea" thread instead of resurrecting a 3 year old, unrelated and formerly resolved thread where someone else asked a question.
