Do you have a release date to add? It is determined by the year it was first available for public viewing. So, if you list a 2013 release date, that should change it to 2013.

I don't know and someone else might know about changing it without a release date. Without one, I thought it was supposed to be (????).

I dont know why says 2012 when our first screening was in Jan 12 2013 at the Anthology archives theater in NYC. We did not finish the film until that december of 2012. I scratch my head going over every record in without a box and we do now how this problem originated but IMDb made our film a year older that it is. This might give us problems for festival submissions. Here is the poster for the test screening in Jan 12 2013

Upon completion in Dec 2012, was it then available via Withoutabox, prior to end of the year? That might have done it. Anyway, you can/should add a release date on its page. You currently don't display one. The date next to the title goes by release date. So, If that poster showed a date, it would help greatly, or if you have something else from that release. Otherwise, add the release date by going to the film's page and clicking "edit page." Then for "release date," click to "add one." then click "continue." Then proceed to fill in the info. If you have something that could prove it, it can be added on the verification form http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/data_ver... . Or, at least, leave a link to this thread. Adding a releease date should change the date next to the title.

Its first screening might have been early 2013, but there is no release date set:

I'd also recommend adding a Production Status of "released" at the same time you add the release date. Also use the explanation fields to flag up you are doing this to change the date, that way the data processing staff can make sure it is all working OK.

Sort that out (mainly the release date - the rest is a belt and braces approach) and the date will change.

No we got our account of witouthbox that dec 2012 trying our best to have the opening on jan 12. It was coming upon us so fast and we had to rush the test screening for jan 12 2013. The film was not complete and legally clear but we had promise to get done on that jan 12 of 2013 and we did. Feb of 2013 we had our first festival. THANKS you the first sort of clear help we have in a few month THANK YOU!

Agustina: Please see my response to you in the other thread at https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/how-do-i-change-a-title.

(By the way, it looks like Carlos did get his film updated to be The Lottery (2013); see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2705284/.)
