A lot of movies are casted and almost finish filming, but unless they have release date, you can not get their list through advanced search. If is possible to create "Unknown/Not Released" entry in Advanced title search "Release Date" options.

Thanks.

Try this search:
http://www.imdb.com/search/title?!rel...

Putting the "!" in front of release_date tells advanced search to search for feature films that do not have a release date between 1890 and 2020, in other words, feature films without a release date.

I believe that either Emperor or bluesmanSF came up with this trick and posted it to the original IMDb Help Board.

Not me, although I am a big fan of the ! switch I have never used it in this context, which is well worth storing away for future use.

I vaguely remember someone on the IMDb Help Board suggesting automating the not operator (AKA the ! switch). Have we suggested this on IMDb's get satisfaction site?

You can do it with lists, of course, but I am unsure if there is an easy way to automated it - any ideas?

I have some ideas on how to re-architect the page and implement this feature when I have this worked out, I will suggest it.
