I just visited "The Top 250 Movies You Haven't Seen" but going down the list, most of them I *have* seen. How do I indicate to IMDb.com that I've watched a movie?

It is really "Top 250 Movies You Haven't Rated" - if you rate them then you'll find it works:

They should change the way that's written. When i think that they just might know what I've seen or not, is kind of creepy. When they offer titles I rented then fell asleep in the middle, I'll quit the site (and probably move and not leave forwarding address!...and never, ever use the internet again!).

I'm sure I'll die without remembering every film I've ever seen, so if IMDB could genuinely rummage through the over-stuffed and badly indexed vaults of my mind, that would be much appreciated.

There's a (relatively recent) new feature on the top 250 page (and available for any title list) that lets you quickly check off what you've seen, without committing to a rating right away.
