First a bit of nomenclature: An IMDb Account is the account that lets a person interact with the IMDb database, also known as a User account. The basic Account is free It allows the User to post on the various Message Boards, and to submit update requests to most sections of the IMDb database.

A Pro Account is a user account for which a subscription payment has been made. It allows the user to see (and submit update requests) for the Contact and Company detail sections (which are restricted so a basic Account cannot see the data).

A Pro Account also includes the cost of one Resume Subscription.

A Name page is the data on a person involved in the business recorded in the IMDb database. Anyone with a registered basic Account may submit add/update requests for any Name page on the database.

As mentioned, a Pro Account may also be used to control one Resume Subscription. This subscription allows a person with a Name page in the database (or an authorized representative) to add a Resume page to the information in the database, and/or to upload up to 100 photos (including a headshot). Note that the Resume does not give the Account holder any other control over the content of the Name page.

I am not sure what you mean by "manage this account", but I assume you meant he has a Name page and wants to control what is shown on it. This, as I have explained, is not possible.

He can upgrade his basic user account to Pro by choosing to try out the 14-day free trial . He will need a credit card to do this, and should not that if he does not cancel the account it will become a paid account and the credit card will be charged.

One he has upgraded to Pro, he can "claim his page". This will link that account via a Resume subscription to his IMDb Name page. He will then be able to add a separated Resume page and upload photos.

Again I emphasize that the Resume Subscription does not give him the ability to control what is shown on his Name page. Also, Resume is a subscription service and any Resume page or uploaded pictures will disappear from his Name page if the subscription is cancelled or lapses.

Hope this helps.
