Dear IMDb:

I have created a number of user-lists that contain internal links to various IMDb features, names and titles, using the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (http). Is it advisable to change those links to Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (https), or is this unnecessary?

Our https support is experimental at the moment so we do not recommend changing any links until the site goes fully https only.  We will make an announcement when this formally launches.  Thanks for asking about this.

When this is ready for a full launch we will bounce anyone arriving via http to the same page on https so old links will always continue to work.

I am sure your team is probably aware of this as they experiment but if you are on an external review page using https and click a link to a site which isn't using https it ends up blocked

Hi Andy, do you have an example of this?

What browser are you using?

I am using Firefox 58.0.2
If you click on the external review link on this page, it is blocked with an insecure connection comment https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2562726/externalreviews?ref_=tt_ov_rt
But if you do it from http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2562726/externalreviews?ref_=tt_ov_rt the link works
