How many homes do you have in your collection ?

for Movies and TV - Make a IMDb list ?

Like ACT_1 said you could make an IMDb list or a spread sheet on the computer.

What I have done is clear out an old smart phone and use the contact list to store movie titles.
In the contact list store the movie title as you would a person's name. Be sure and set the phone to list contacts by first name first or store them as a company name rather than a person. It automatically puts them in alphabetical order.

Under the notes I have entered the year the movie came out and the running time. I have stored the date of release for a few favorites under birth date, and created a custom heading under date "Last Watched" so I can keep track of when I last watched a movie.

When you type something into search it searches title and notes. I can type "Kill" and get A View to a Kill, Kill Bill, Killer Elite, License to Kill, To Kill a Mockingbird, etc. Or "1968" and get Bullitt, Coogan's Bluff, Hang 'Em High, Planet of the Apes, etc.

In the calendar ap it list the birth date of the movies I have entered a release date but not my "Last Watched". A couple months ago I watched Animal House on the 40th anniversary of it's premiere.

I am using an old iPhone 5S and I like the small size. It's easy to take with me to the store if I'm looking to buy a few DVDs. I have 930+ movies so great to have them handy.

I recently got a used Samsung S7 from a friend. With it you can also create custom groups that you could have by genre,eg. action, comedy, horror, westerns, etc. Or even favorite director or actor.

You definitely want to sign out or delete any cloud accounts before you start or all the info you enter may merge with your new phone if you connect to wifi.

Also when putting info in the notes less is more. Wouldn't waste my time with ratings.

Start with 40 to 50 titles at first that begin with different letters of the alphabet and see how it sorts them. All titles starting with "The" are grouped together and any title stating with a number may group at the bottom.

Anyway that's what I have done. Something that may take a few days to set up, but real easy to add new movies later.
