I cannot find Russian, Japanese and other non English speaking films by their English title. What can I do plaese?

Can't you find really "Battleship Potemkin" or even "Ran" or "Rashomon"?
Can you share some English titles of non Latin written languages that you cannot find?

"AT DAWN IT’S QUIET HERE", just a recent example. You can find it only as ""A zori zdes tikhie". "Battleship Potemkin" is ok. I suppose that "Ran" and "Rashomon" are names, so I found them either. There are many films of which I know the English title, but cannot be found in the IMDb.

NB: I only now see your reply, for which I thank you. Don't I get a notification by email when I have a reply to my thread?

So probably the English titles of these films are not present in the database! You are welcome to enter them.

Yes, you should have received a notification by mail. Have you check the spam file of your email client?

Nessun, the title you mentioned is listed. It is under the AKA section.

I have my settings set to display titles of the original county. This way spaghetti westerns always display in Italian, for example. You can change this setting to a specific country setting. You will only see non-English titles if the film has not yet been published with an English title, in which case it would default to the country of original title, I believe.

JamesMMM, it is listed indeed. The problem is that you cannot find it in IMDb searching by this title.

You should be able to find it depending upon your settings and the AKA data.  Here's what we see here:



If there are English AKA titles missing, please feel free to add them via the "Edit page" button on the title/releaseinfo page or directly from the main title page.   All the existing AKA titles were added by non-staff contributors so we encourage you to join in.
