I've experienced this long ago, but probably never reported it.
After spending a lot of time manually reordering 56 titles in a list, I copied them all to a new list, and the reordering was lost; they came across in the original order. Very frustrating!

Here's a smaller list for you to see the effect:
http://www.imdb.com/list/ls027186302/
I added these titles to the list in "numeric" order:
First a Girl
Second Chorus
Three Blind Mice
The Sixth Sense
The Seventh Seal
42nd Street

then reordered them by release year, which is how it stands now. When I click all the selection boxes, and copy the titles to another list, they come across in the original order.

This seems like a bug to me. Why would copying use the creation date/time instead of the current Position in the list? When I export the list to .csv, it comes down in position order.

A new version of this system will be going live within the next week or so -- please wait to test the new software (which will be easier to fix if this is indeed a bug).

With the new release today, the reordering is preserved when copying. So, problem solved.

Note to self: procrastination can save lots of time.
