Do you know that Cable fro Deadpool 2 is Thanos? It is funny because Josh Brolin played 2 characters in the MCU.

Haha, I was wondering how someone could not know the Goonies. ;)
Do you remember about what era the movie was? I mean, was it black and white or color, 50's or 80's, etc?

This is a bit of a long shot, to say the least (and I don't think this hole was in a cave), but could it possibly be HOLES (2003)? Have never seen it myself, but there's a very detailed plot description on Wikipedia:
