The problem is with the Keyword Search field. I've had it since yesterday. When I type in a keyword the auto-fill search gives a list of actors, movie names, etc, instead of keywords from the database. I've attached an image as an example. I'm using Ipad Mini and Chrome browser but it's the same problem with Safari browser. i've tried clearing all browsing data and deleted site cookies but to no avail. Thank you. Added: I've tried the same on a laptop and I get the same problem. It would not fill-in keywords that already exist .

Hi VVP,

I have been able to replicate what you are reporting here; I am seeing when you type in a word, it is providing results to various partial/full title's and name's. So that I can better report this to my technical team, can you describe what your expectation is/was previously when you typed in a keyword in the search?

Best,
Kurt

Hi Kurt,

As it has always been the case (until yesterday) when you typed in a keyword IMDb would list the exact match and other close matches to this word in a drop down menu. The list of keywords is very extensive and it's a specific list in the database.. I believe what might have happened is that the search field has been accidentally(?) switched to "Names" and "Titles" instead of "Keywords". As an example I tried searching for the same keyword "mars" in the main search window of the home page (selecting search for keyword only) and the attached image is just a short selection of the results. That's what should appear in the Adavanced Title Search - "keyword", field and not actors' names and movies titles. Hope that makes sence.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Keyword field apparently no longer working in Advanced Title Search?.

Hilariously, when you type in a Keyword in the Advanced Title Search form, it no longer gives you Keywords to choose from  Instead, it gives you a list of movie titles to click on.  If you ignore the movie titles and just leave the Keyword in the Keyword field... IMDb removes it when you run the search!  Hopefully I have explained it properly.  Anybody know what is going on?  Thanks for the help!

Did my further explanation help? The problem with the keyword search in Advanced Title Search still exists.

Hi VVP 14 and Bret,

My technical team has reported that this should now be fixed. I have tested this as well and see that it now appears to be working as intended.

Please let us know if you encounter any further issues with the keyword search field.

Best,

Hi Kurt,

I've just tested it and the keyword search seems to be working just fine now.

Thank you so much indeed.
